Nous avons choisi le CTLS de Flight Design pour notre tour du monde, quel bel outil !

Le CTLS est un avion très léger produit depuis 1997 en divers variantes à plus de 1'300 exemplaires par la firme allemande Flight Design. Il est construit entièrement en matériaux composites et équipé d’un moteur Rotax développant 100 chevaux ainsi que d’un système de sauvetage intégral par parachute balistique. Le CTSW, son prédécesseur, vole en Suisse comme Ecolight depuis 2006.

Le CTLS consomme jusqu'à 3 fois moins de carburant qu’un avion "traditionnel"
et produit jusqu'à 6 fois moins d’émissions polluantes !

Pour notre périple, il sera équipé de réservoirs additionnels de carburant, d’équipements supplémentaires de navigation et de communication, ainsi que d’équipements de survie adaptés aux régions survolées.

Céline, mon avion porte ton nom afin que tu m'accompagnes dans cette grande aventure et que tu découvres ainsi les merveilles de notre planète, vu du ciel. Sur terre je suis, en l'air je vis ! HB-WYB baptisé : "Dreamcatcher"

Un attrape-rêves (Dreamcatcher en anglais) est un objet artisanal composé d'un anneau en saule et d'un filet orné de plumes et de perles. Dans la culture amérindienne, le capteur de rêve est censé empêcher les mauvais rêves d'envahir le sommeil de son détenteur. Le capteur de rêves conserve les belles images de la nuit et brûle les mauvaises aux premières lueurs du jour.
