East Texas - Las Vegas 17.05.2010

Difficult conditions today. A perfect early morning takeoff from East Texas, heading west for a relaxed first half to El Paso, then heat, wind combined with high terrain is creating up and down draft and turbulence as we have rarely experienced, it will last until Vegas. 6 hours fighting to keep the aircraft level nose on the horizon and pointing in the good direction. We land after 11 hours in a 15 knots wind with gusts at 27, exhausted but happy ! As with the Dreamcatcher, our spirit seems to only keep good memories and forget rapidly bad moments !
