Gulfport - East Texas 16.05.2010

Weather is capricious… A first landing in Laurel, a second one in Meridian, an airport like many other do we think, until we are told it was the theatre, 75 years ago, of aWorld endurance record still standing today. Brother Fred and Al Key flew non-stop during 27 days (yes, 27 days) above the field getting air-to-air refueled thanks to an inventive spill free system of their own conception ! incredible feat and funny coincidence. We can finally takeoff again at 17h00 for a 3 hours flight…heading 270 !
