Nous poursuivons notre route vers le Sud et survolons à nouveau des paysages à couper le souffle. La météo sur ce secteur est sans surprise et un léger vent du Nord nous permet de rejoindre Dakar en moins de 5 heures. Nous pensions nous préparer tranquillement le lendemain pour notre grande traversé océanique, eh bien non ! Suivant les conseils de Météo Suisse qui nous informe que l’activité de la zone de convergence intertropicale semble augmenter dans les jours à venir, nous décidons de décoller le lendemain au lever du jour. Pas une minute à perdre, nous commençons notre préparation : remplissage de 400 litres d’Avgas par avion, niveau d’huile, nettoyage et inspection, organisation du cockpit, vérification du matériel de survie, réserve de nourriture et eau, dépôt du plan de vol, douane, immigration, paiement, mise à jours de GPS, étude du dossier météo, manger, dormir (un peu), et demain… L’aventure continue !
